  • Experienced CNC router operator required with minimum 2 years experience.
  • Operator needs also to be a fully qualified carpenter with minimum 5 years experience in film/ TV/ exhibition and events industries.

  • Experience of 3d modelling essential as new machines have 3d capability.

SPECIALIST FINISHER
  • Specialist paint finisher required for busy scenery production workshop.
  • Spray finishing duties to include 2 pack piano, metalizing, 2 pack lacquer, emulsion, Idenden.
  • Other spray techniques include low pressure pump and airless machines.
  • Wood graining, marbleizing, stone, concrete, brick and all other theatrical finishes will be within remit.
  • Ability to work with timber and steel essential to assist with completing projects before finishing.

Trainee/ runner

A Dynamic school leaver or university graduate needed for a range of roles within our dynamic award winning design and production company. This would present opportunities for the right person to learn a wide range of skills very quickly with the prospect of moving on to a production management position under the right circumstances.

  • Good organisational skills with ability to self motivate.
  • Good basic literacy and numeracy.
  • An interest in film, TV, theatre, shop fitting, events and exhibition construction industries.
  • Artistic flair with ability to interpret a brief without drawings if necessary.
  • An interest in prop making, laminating, plaster brick, vac forming and paint finishing.
  • Computer literacy including basic knowledge of Auto-Cad and sketch up.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • A strong constitution, optimistic outlook with an energetic approach to pushing ahead until the job is done.

Duties to include
  • Turning up ready for work at 7.00am on time and without fail.
  • Managing an ongoing work load whilst also multi tasking for senior managers.
  • Liaison with staff, clients and suppliers.
  • Researching products, prices and suppliers for senior managers.
  • Taking enquiries by phone and learning how to prepare quotes.
  • Working late, weekends and abroad when necessary.
  • Learning and mastering processes within our company from top to bottom.
